Let’s look closely at the first of the two great paths: service to others, the path this material itself walks and recommends. It is sometimes called the positive path, or the way of radiance, and at its core it is astonishingly simple — though never easy. It is the choice to see the Creator in every other being and to respond to that Creator with love.
Service to others does not mean martyrdom, exhaustion, or letting yourself be trampled. The sources are clear that you, too, are the Creator, and so your own needs are not excluded from love. The positive path is better understood as a fundamental orientation: a life increasingly arranged around the wellbeing of others, around generosity, acceptance, and the willingness to help. It is the slow opening of the heart until compassion becomes less a decision and more a default. The image the material often uses is light: the positive being learns to radiate, simply shining warmth on whatever comes near, the way the sun does not strain to give light.
What makes this path so beautiful is that it requires no special talent. You do not need to be gifted or important. A kind word, an honest welcome, a moment of genuine attention given to another — these are the real currency of harvest. The path home is paved with very small acts of love.
