We have free will, and we have Love that focuses it. But Love is still, in a sense, an intention — and intentions need a material to work in. So the material describes a third distortion, flowing from the second: Light.
Light is what Love becomes when it takes form. It is the first “stuff” of creation, the raw substance out of which everything denser is built — energy, matter, bodies, planets, you. The sources describe all of physical reality as light that has been slowed, folded, and patterned by Love into stable shapes. The chair you are sitting on is, at bottom, light holding a particular agreement to stay a chair. So are you. This is not a vague mysticism; it rhymes surprisingly well with what physics quietly suspects — that solid matter is mostly energy in disguise.
Here is the trio, then, that underlies the entire teaching: free will opens the way, Love chooses the direction, and Light builds the road. Intelligent infinity becomes intelligent energy becomes a world. And the same three principles run through you every day: you are free, you love, and you bring things into form. You are a small Logos, building little worlds with your attention.
