Free will, on its own, is pure potential — an open field with nothing yet growing in it. So the material describes a second great distortion that follows naturally from the first: Love. Not love as a passing emotion, but Love as the creative principle, the focusing power that takes infinite freedom and actually makes something out of it.
In this teaching, Love is given a specific role. Each part of creation is shaped by what the sources call a Logos — a great creative being, a “sub-Creator,” that uses Love to design an entire region of the universe: its physics, its rhythms, the very rules by which beings within it will grow. Our own galaxy is the handiwork of such a Logos. When you look up at the night sky, you are seeing the frozen choices of a vast act of love, one that decided how light would travel and how souls would evolve here.
What makes this more than cosmology is the implication for you. The same Love that lit the stars is the substance you are made of and the tool you create with. Every time you choose to meet a moment with warmth instead of defense, you are not being merely “nice.” You are wielding the second principle of the universe — the same one that built the worlds.
