When a difficult catalyst (like an argument or a sudden problem) hits you, you have two basic ways to process it. These two methods perfectly define the two paths of spiritual evolution.

If you choose the negative path (Service to Self), you will attempt to control the catalyst. You will manipulate the situation, force the other person to change, and protect your ego at all costs. If you choose the positive path (Service to Others), your tool is acceptance. You observe the difficulty, accept that it is happening without judgment, and try to find the love hidden within the lesson. You cannot fail at processing catalyst; if you ignore the lesson today, the universe will simply present it to you again tomorrow in a different disguise.

Today’s Micro-Practice: Notice a moment today when you instantly try to control an irritating situation. Relax your grip, take a breath, and switch your approach from control to acceptance.
