🧭 Session Snapshot
Date: June 9, 1982
Core Themes:
Discernment & challenging (especially when a channel’s receptivity is “high”).
The difference between carrier wave (baseline frequency) vs signal strength (how strongly you pick it up).
A rare window into Venus/Ra’s harvest—including two unusual cases: positive 5D Wanderers who flipped negative in Venus 3D.
Tarot/archetypal mind: why Ra refuses to “interpret the cards for you,” and what kind of questions do invite helpful commentary.
Arcanum 22 (The Choice) as a lens that sharpens the whole archetypal system.
What “controlled use of archetypes” means—and why archetypes can become a tool of infringement when translated too literally into daily action.
🌟 Key Takeaways
A stronger “antenna” doesn’t mean a new station. Heightened receptivity can amplify reception, but it doesn’t automatically change the underlying “carrier wave” or baseline tuning.
Challenge everything—especially the subtle contacts. Ra explicitly says that questioning all contacts is welcomed because positive 5D can transmit on the same “frequency band” as negative 5D.
Archetypes are not a paint-by-numbers system. Ra avoids being the first interpreter of symbols. They want the seeker to develop a living relationship with each concept complex and only then receive commentary.
The Choice isn’t an add-on; it’s a clarifier. Understanding Arcanum 22 sharpens the Significator and throws the Transformations/Great Ways into higher contrast.
Even high-density “helpers” can miscalculate in incarnation. Session 89’s Wanderer story is a sobering reminder: catalyst plus intention does not guarantee the outcome you think you’re serving.
89.1 — Condition of the instrument
Summary. “As previously stated.”
Commentary. A short flag that the instrument’s baseline limitations remain—important because this session ranges into lengthy archetypal discussion and ends with a warning about running up against the safe-contact limit.
89.2 — A strong, uninvited conditioning during meditation
Summary. The instrument was offered the opportunity to become a channel for a previously known “friend.” The entity could not answer the instrument’s challenge “in the name of Christ,” and therefore, after resistance, it left.
Commentary. This is (again) the ethics and mechanics of spiritual discernment in micro:
The instrument uses a specific method of discriminating polarity (her Christian distortion).
The key point is not theology; it’s discernment by principle.
If you’re not Christian, the functional analogue is still usable: choose a testing statement that calls forth service-to-others intent and respect for free will.
89.3–89.4 — Was it the familiar 5D negative companion? Is he present now?
Summary. Yes, it was the negative 5D companion. He is not present now. The attempt occurred because “minions” noticed a surge of natural telepathic ability in the instrument—cyclical, tied to an eighteen-day cycle—so the entity attempted access through free will.
Commentary. Two practical implications:
Receptivity has cycles. Your best “reception days” can be your highest-risk days.
“Minions” implies multi-layered pressure: lower-density agencies can opportunistically work during high-receptivity windows.
89.5 — Broader range of frequencies?
Summary. Don wonders if the instrument’s increased ability broadened reception across basic frequencies (including negative). Ra says no: the cycle’s high point sharpens reception but doesn’t change the carrier wave; there’s just “greater power in the receiving antenna.”
Commentary. This is one of Ra’s clearest “radio” metaphors:
Carrier wave = your baseline tuning / orientation / signature.
Antenna power = clarity, strength, receptivity, signal-to-noise.
So: you can get “louder” signals without becoming “different.” But louder signals can include attempts at intrusion.
89.6 — Would positive 5D Confederation transmit on the same frequency band as negative 5D?
Summary. Yes. And therefore the Confederation welcomes questioning all contacts.
Commentary. This is both humbling and empowering:
Humbling: you can’t rely on “vibe alone.”
Empowering: a clean challenge is not paranoia—it’s spiritual hygiene.
89.7 — Jim’s unbidden conditioning while channeling Latwii
Summary. The negative companion’s vibratory frequency is slightly less than Latwii’s. Latwii is the Confederation’s “primary comforter” for entities at Jim’s vibrational level. The negative companion attempted contact with Jim as well; Jim would have difficulty distinguishing due to lack of experience of this type of service. Ra recommends that Jim adopt some manner of challenging contacts.
Commentary. Notice the compassionate realism:
Ra doesn’t shame Jim; they simply name a skill gap.
They suggest a universal remedy: discernment practice.
🪐 Venus / Ra Timeline and Harvest
89.8 — When did Ra’s third density end?
Summary. Approximately 2.6 billion years in our past (Ra corrects a “million/billion” slip).
Commentary. The date is less important than the implied contrast: Ra’s experience of time/space differs radically from ours—so precision is partly a concession to our way of thinking.
89.9–89.12 — Venus progression through densities
Summary. Roughly, Venus’s transition to 4D aligns with Earth’s early 2D. Venus later became a 4D/5D planet and then for a long time a 5D planet. Currently its core vibration is 6D, but Ra as a social memory complex left; the beings inhabiting the influence now are 5D. So Venus can be considered 5D/6D.
Commentary. This is a rare “planetary status report.” The subtle teaching: an entity’s core vibration and its present inhabitants can be different.
89.13 — Why did Ra leave Venus?
Summary. “We wished to be of service.”
Commentary. A deceptively simple answer that mirrors the whole Confederation stance: service is not just a feeling; it’s an organizational choice.
🃏 Tarot / Archetypal Mind Work
89.14–89.15 — Are these 22 cards a close replica of what’s on the Great Pyramid walls?
Summary. The resemblance is substantial—roughly “better than 95%.”
Commentary. Ra’s position often is: the concepts matter more than pictorial exactness. Still, this confirmation matters because it anchors the “Egypt linkage” in their narrative.
89.16–89.17 — How was the information transmitted to Egyptian priests?
Summary. Partly through old teachings and partly through visions. Ra confirms they were no longer walking among Egyptians at that time.
Commentary. This clarifies the “mode”: not physical instruction, but inspiration/vision + tradition.
89.18 — May Don question Ra on each card in order?
Summary. Ra declines a direct interpretive role. These are tools for learn/teaching. If Ra offered information not responding to the student’s own observations, they would infringe free will by being both teacher and learner at once.
Commentary. This is one of the most important meta-lessons in the tarot material:
Ra won’t do your inner work.
They will comment on your disciplined observations.
In short: “Show your work; then we can talk.”
89.19 — Was tarot used by “becoming” each archetype to develop the magical personality?
Summary. Ra says no—this is an advanced practice after long study. First, the concept complexes are to be studied as:
individual complexes (Matrix, Potentiator, etc.),
in mind/body/spirit connections,
and in pairs, especially with attention to male/female polarity.
Then the deep mind’s “threnodies” (laments) and “joyful ditties” can be brought forward to intensify aspects of the magical personality.
Commentary. This is a crucial calibration:
Becoming is real, but it comes later.
The early stages are analytic + contemplative: isolate the concept complex, then compare, then pair.
It’s like music training:
hear notes,
hear chords,
hear chord progressions,
then improvise.
89.20 — What does “concept complex” mean?
Summary. Ra uses the water molecule analogy: hydrogen and oxygen can be separated, but neither is “water” alone. Together they are irrefragably (inseparably) water. Archetypes are like that: several root “atoms” of organizational being; together they form one concept complex.
Commentary. This is the antidote to over-simplification:
You can list components of an archetype.
But the archetype is not reducible to the list.
A practical method: identify components, then repeatedly return to the whole, until the “water-ness” appears.
89.21 — Don’s attempt to parse the Matrix of the Mind (Card One)
Summary. Don identifies the Magician, an approaching star, a bird in a cage, and something on top of the cage. Ra says Don is competent at viewing pictures, but has not yet grasped the Matrix as fully as possible. They note the priestly representations were somewhat distorted by reliance on Chaldean, astrologically based teachings.
Commentary. A gentle but firm point:
“I see the objects” ≠ “I understand the concept complex.”
Also: beware inherited overlays (astrological or otherwise) that bias the archetype.
89.22 — Did Ra become learn/teachers while teaching Egypt?
Summary. “This distortion we were spared.”
Commentary. In context, Ra is implying: their mode of offering did not force them into the kind of reciprocal distortion where they must learn what they teach in the same way. It’s a brief line, but it signals that “teaching” can distort the teacher—and Ra suggests this was largely avoided in that phase.
89.23 — What did Ra first say about the first archetype to the Egyptians?
Summary. They started by presenting verbal descriptions of three images: 1, 8, 15. Then they asked feeling-based questions: “What do you feel a bird represents?” “a wand?” “the male?” and so on, until the students built an evocative system of concepts. It is slow work.
Commentary. This is a learning design:
Triads (Mind/Body/Spirit of the same rank)
Affective inquiry (“What do you feel…?”)
Slow formation of conceptual resonance.
Ra also empathizes: modern students can feel “choked” by the sheer mass of existing observations.
89.24–89.25 — “Study writings and formulate questions?” / Clarifying the proper approach
Summary. Don guesses Ra means: read available writings and formulate questions. Ra says no.
Don then asks if it’s right to offer his own meanings of the three items for Card One and then Card Eight, etc. Ra says this is very close. They recommend following their plan of study. Questions may observe:
characteristics of each archetype,
relationships between mind/body/spirit archetypes of same rank (Matrix, etc.),
relationships to polarity (especially in pairings).
Ra avoids being the first interpreter of “pasteboard” details due to the Law of Confusion and distortions in the images.
They suggest reviewing what they have already given rather than relying heavily on any one rendition or study system.
Commentary. Ra is not anti-scholarship; they are pro-initiation:
Build your own experiential contact with the concept.
Use Ra’s earlier instructions as the spine.
Then ask targeted questions.
This is remarkably consistent with how deep-learning actually works: active observation beats passive consumption.
89.26 — Arcanum 22 and Ra’s under-appreciation of negativity
Summary. Don guesses Ra’s positive harvest left them relatively uninformed about negativity; Ra agrees “in one way precisely.” Ra says understanding Archetype 22 greatly helps sharpen the view of the Significator (Mind/Body/Spirit) and throws the Transformations and Great Ways into starker relief.
Commentary. Arcanum 22 functions like a lens:
Without The Choice, archetypes can feel like an elegant psychology.
With The Choice, the whole system becomes ethical and polar.
It’s the difference between “understanding patterns” and “choosing a path.”
🌗 Negative Polarization on a Mostly Positive Planet
89.27 — Was there negative harvest on Venus?
Summary. No negative harvest “as such,” but two entities harvested themselves negatively during 3D. Others had negative-range patterns but were not harvestable.
Commentary. This sets the stage for one of the most instructive digressions in the Ra Contact: how negative polarization can occur even where the cultural atmosphere is strongly positive.
89.28 — Venus population numbers
Summary. Ra’s harvest: about 6.5 million mind/body/spirit complexes. About 32 million repeated 3D elsewhere.
Commentary. The ratio quietly points to a law of spiritual learning: even in favorable conditions, many repeat.
89.29–89.30 — Attitude toward the unharvestable
Summary. Those with polarity felt deep compassion for those “in darkness.” Venus was physically bright and harsh; they attempted to reach out as needed. Positive path entities had companions; Ra spent much attention on indigo-ray work through relationships; compassion was balanced by appreciation of light. Later attitude is not substantially different: service is only possible to the extent requested; to be each entity one attempts to serve simplifies understanding what service is needed or possible.
Commentary. This is one of the most practical STO statements Ra ever makes:
You cannot “save” those who do not request.
You can cultivate empathy so accurate that you can sense what is actually helpful.
89.31 — How did the two entities polarize negatively on Venus?
Summary. Through control and domination “unto physical death.” On a world unused to slaughter, this allowed strong polarization. On Earth, such entities would be seen as ruthless despots waging holy war.
Commentary. Ra’s framing is stark: negative polarization, when pursued to harvestability, tends to crystallize around power over life and death, not merely “being selfish.”
89.32–89.33 — Did they originate from Venus 2D? If not, where?
Summary. No. They were Wanderers from early positive fifth density.
Commentary. This is the shock:
Not “native Venusian malefactors,” but high-density volunteers.
Catalyst plus mission can still produce unexpected polarity outcomes.
89.34–89.35 — They flipped polarity in 3D; what catalyst caused it?
Summary. Ra’s people had, from the viewpoint of wisdom, an overabundance of love. The Wanderers saw that some neutral/negative viewpoints found such harmony “sickening.” They felt a more wisdom-oriented way of seeking love might appeal to those in darkness. One began work; the second joined. They gathered followers who believed specific knowledge/wisdom would advance one toward the Creator. The result: the Wanderers graduated into 4D negative (powerful personality), and a small deepening of negative polarization in some. No negative harvest as such.
Commentary. This is a subtle cautionary tale about teaching:
“I’ll help them by being more wisdom-heavy” can slide into elitism and control.
“Specific knowledge will save you” can become a recruitment engine.
It’s also a lesson for positive seekers: wisdom without love easily becomes hierarchy.
89.36 — Were they male and female? Why did they wander?
Summary. All Wanderers come to assist in serving the Creator. These were incarnated male and female, as this is the most efficient partnership system.
Commentary. Ra repeatedly indicates that paired polarity can accelerate work—yet it also intensifies catalyst. “Efficient” includes both potential and risk.
89.37 — Are they the current negative companion?
Summary. No.
Commentary. This keeps the story from becoming a “who is it?” narrative. The value is the mechanism, not the personality.
89.38 — Did they come to seed wisdom into Ra’s culture?
Summary. Incorrect in the sense that before incarnation the desire was only to aid in service to others. The guess has correctness when seen from the Wanderers’ viewpoint within the incarnation.
Commentary. This is psychologically accurate:
Pre-incarnative intent can be pure.
In-incarnation interpretation can drift.
When under veil, you can honestly believe you’re serving while the method slides into control.
89.39 — Why Wanderers for a planet “doing well”? When was this?
Summary. Second 25,000-year cycle. Harvest was about six out of roughly thirty million—less than 20%. Wanderers are drawn to those not yet polarized and come when there is a call. There was a call from those seeking positive polarization and wisdom, who felt Venusian compassion as complacent or pitying.
Commentary. This is a nuanced view of “too much love”:
Not “love is wrong,” but love can become soft, complacent, or patronizing.
Wisdom is requested as a balancing catalyst.
89.40–89.43 — After realizing they flipped polarity: what did they do?
Summary. They were disconcerted. They worked with 4D negative for a time until previously learned patterns of self were recaptured and the polarity was, with great effort, reversed. Much 4D positive work had to be retraced. Ra knows this because these entities later joined Ra in 4D positive for part of the cycle, and they came in late.
Commentary. The “good news” embedded in the cautionary tale:
Polarity reversal is possible.
But it can require extensive retracing.
It also supports a core Law-of-One theme: no one is damned; there are only paths and consequences.
🧠 Controlled Use of Archetypes
89.44 — Example of using an archetype “in a controlled way”
Summary. Ra says this is their last long answer due to contact safety. Controlled use is done within the self for polarization of self and to benefit self (if negatively polarized) or others (if positively polarized) on the most subtle levels.
Ra emphasizes: archetypal mind informs thoughts. If one translates an archetype into daily manifested actions without magical propriety, great distortions and infringement on others’ free will can occur—more acceptable to negative polarity. Even carefully polarized negative entities prefer to work with a finely tuned instrument.
Commentary. This is one of Ra’s most practical warnings for spiritual students:
Archetypes are deep forces.
They are not costumes for manipulating your relationships.
A simple “control” guideline:
Work inwardly first (visualization, contemplation, prayer/meditation).
Let actions emerge naturally from your balanced state.
Avoid using archetypal knowledge to steer others without consent.
This is also an ethical filter: if the archetype becomes a strategy to push outcomes, you’re drifting toward infringement.
89.45 — Brief close: negative harvest in a “less negative” environment + care of instrument
Summary. Don suggests negative harvest might be possible with less negativity than Earth. Ra says harvest requirements are set, but it is easier to serve self completely if there is little resistance. For instrument nurturing: manipulation of dorsal side and appendages and “whirling of the waters,” plus vigilance in alignments.
Commentary. This final note stitches metaphysics back to lived reality:
Polarity can crystallize even in calm environments.
The group must keep honoring the physical support needs of the work.
🛠️ Practice Corner — Living Session 89
Challenge practice (2 minutes). Before you accept an inner impression as “guidance,” ask: Does this respect free will? Does it increase compassion and clarity? Does it invite rather than coerce?
Antenna vs station check (1 minute). When you feel “psychically open,” assume your antenna is strong—not that every voice is your station.
Archetype control exercise (10 minutes). Pick one archetype and work with it only inwardly (journal + quiet visualization). Watch what shifts in your thoughts first. Let action be secondary.
Service request filter (daily). “Service is only possible to the extent it is requested.” Where are you giving what isn’t asked for?
