🗞️ About This Series (brief)

Each entry walks, question-by-question, through a single session of The Ra Contact, offering clear summaries, careful commentary, and friendly signposts to official resources. This entry covers Session 81 (March 22, 1982) with cross-links to LoO 81.x question numbers.

🧭 Session Snapshot

  • Date: March 22, 1982

  • Setting: Louisville, KY; tuned narrow-band trance within a disciplined support circle

  • Cast: Don Elkins (Questioner) • Carla L. Rueckert (Instrument) • Jim McCarty (Scribe)

  • Big Themes: Weariness mechanism of contact (time/space ↔ space/time linkage and “transparency” in an opaque environment); cumulative effect on support group (~10–15%); paths groups take under sustained pressure (temptation, loss of faith, martyrdom vs. balanced perseverance); increased stimulus sensitivity; Body cycle (XI–XIV)Catalyst = Wheel of Fortune; Experience = Enchantress; Transformation = Death; Great Way = Alchemist (body as athanor); scope & limits of Ra’s knowledge (this octave; seventh density still partly mysterious); octaves metaphor (“islands”); infinite galaxies ⇒ unity; service by radiation rather than travel; where Ra has answered calls (Alpha Centauri, the Sun, Cepheus, Zeta Reticuli); Wanderers across major galaxies; Logoi communicating like cells in one body.

🌟 Key Takeaways

  • Why the work tires the instrument (and you). The contact links the instrument’s awareness with a different-density resting locus; returning to 3D feels heavy and wearisome—an accepted price of service. Support members also experience a cumulative 10–15% share of this subtle weariness. The counterweight is the will to serve together.

  • Four “body” archetypes as a mirror. XI Catalyst (Wheel) brings mixed-valence stimulus into the body’s field; XII Experience (Enchantress) is how past processing biases current embodiment; XIII Transformation (Death) is the ever-present death/rebirth of bodily identity; XIV Great Way (Alchemist) frames the body as the athanor through which the mind/spirit manifests gold—a mirror of the mind’s thrust rather than its own “driver.”

  • Cosmic humility & unity. Ra knows this octave, with parts of seventh density still mysterious; octaves are like islands until contact bridges them. From infinite galaxies the inference is unity. Ra “travels” chiefly by radiating love to the creation, answering calls locally when needed.

  • Communication across creation. Sub-Logoi share discoveries much like cells share information in one body—so innovations propagate, and later Logoi refine the pedagogy of free will and polarity.

🧩 Full Q&A with Commentary

Notation: Each subsection lists the question number(s), a concise Summary, and Commentary & Notes keyed to LoO 81.x.

81.1–81.5 — The mechanism of weariness & “transparency”

Summary. The instrument’s physical energy is low due to sustained psychic accentuation of pre-existing distortions. The inevitable weariness comes from the link between the instrument’s time/space resting state during workings and the space/time body afterwards; as the resting density’s coloration intensifies, 3D feels heavier. Ra calls this an accepted effect. “Weariness of the time/space nature” is transparent vibrations interacting with an opaque environment.
Commentary. Two distinct dynamics: physical energy (body/fuel) versus time/space weariness (field friction). The latter isn’t “fixable”; it’s contextual to narrow-band service. Guard daily basics (sleep, warmth, simple joy) to support the body while honoring the metaphysical toll.

81.6–81.8 — Cumulative effect on the circle & possible outcomes

Summary. Each support member carries ~10–15% of the same weariness; it is cumulative and ongoing. Under long strain, groups may (a) succumb to temptation and end contact, (b) start strong but lose faith, or (c) adopt total martyrdom, using the instrument until the body fails. The balanced path is love-of-service + wisdom-of-service with steadfast will.
Commentary. The polarization challenge here is not only psychic attack but long-haul attrition. Build routines that protect vital energy: time limits, joyful play, and community support.

81.9–81.10 — Sensitivity & prudence

Summary. The instrument feels more vital energy; Ra leaves this to her own discernment. She also has increased sensitivity to all stimuli; prudence is advised.
Commentary. After deep work, assume a lower stimulus threshold. Practice “soft hours” post-working (quiet, warmth, simple food).

81.11–81.14 — Body cycle XI–XIV (Wheel, Enchantress, Death, Alchemist)

Summary. XI Catalyst (Wheel): outer stimulus offers both positive and negative experiences. XII Experience (Enchantress): the processed imprint that enchants further growth. XIII Transformation (Death): with each moment/diurnal period, the body offers death/rebirth for the seeker. XIV Great Way (Alchemist): less than completely correct to see as “infinite time for bodies”; rather, the body mirrors the mind’s thrust, serving as athanor to manifest gold.
Commentary. Treat body as instrument of manifestation: your embodied habits are the gold (or dross) your mind/spirit cooks in this furnace.

81.15–81.17 — Scope of Ra’s knowledge within this octave

Summary. Ra knows this octave through experience and teaching, but not fully—parts of seventh density remain mysterious despite teachers’ descriptions.
Commentary. Even late-6D carries humility—a useful corrector for metaphysical certainty.

81.18–81.21 — Octaves as “islands”; infinite galaxies ⇒ unity

Summary. Analogy: octaves are like islands; without a “ship,” only visitors can tell of elsewhere. There is an infinite number of galaxies; this is a significant point because it implies unity.
Commentary. The One is intuited from boundlessness; multiplicity rests in unity.

81.22–81.28 — How Ra “travels” & where they’ve answered calls

Summary. Ra’s preferred “travel” is to “open hearts in radiation of love to the entire creation,” a form of contact where ~90% of creation can reply. Physical movements have been only where called—locally in our galaxy—to Alpha Centauri, worlds of our Sun, Cepheus, Zeta Reticuli. Calls often arise from higher densities; for our Sun sub-Logos, third density is the density of calling. Ra has not moved into other major galaxies as an SMC, though Wanderers from and to those do occur.
Commentary. The service model is radiation first, locomotion last. In creation, being is a form of travel.

81.29–81.34 — One octave across galaxies; pedagogy that propagates

Summary. The “infinite galaxies” belong to the same octave. Dual polarity is found elsewhere. Discoveries spread through the Logos like cells communicating; later sub-Logoi refine earlier experiments. Closing: enter each working with the best energy configuration possible; alignments are well.
Commentary. Creation learns from itself; pedagogy iterates. At human scale: design learning loops that let today’s insight propagate into tomorrow’s habits.

🛠️ Practice Corner — Living Session 81

  1. Transparent-in-opaque drill. After deep spiritual work, schedule a 30–60 min buffer of quiet/softness. Note mood/energy. Speak one line of willing service (e.g., “I accept weariness as part of my offering”).

  2. Wheel → Enchantress journal. When strong stimulus arrives (Wheel), write one sentence on how you’re interpreting it (Enchantress). Ask: “What gold am I cooking in my athanor if I keep this interpretation?” Adjust accordingly.

  3. Daily death/rebirth. Choose one bodily identity to shed today (posture, tone of voice, pacing). Declare its “death,” then rebirth a kinder version by evening.

  4. Radiate, then act. Before “helping,” take three breaths radiating impersonal goodwill to all creation, then take the smallest concrete step.

  5. Will check. Once daily ask: “Is our group’s love-of-service balanced by wisdom-of-service today?” If not, adjust time limits or ritual hygiene.

📚 Extended Notes & Context

  • Vital vs. time/space fatigue. Don’t confuse body fuel with metaphysical friction. The former is replenished; the latter is managed by acceptance, pacing, and will.

  • Martyrdom vs. stewardship. Ra’s three cautionary outcomes make stewardship of the instrument (and self) a moral as well as practical duty.

  • Body as athanor. The Great Way of Body isn’t about having “infinite time” but about embodiment as alchemical vessel. Habits of sleep, food, movement, and touch are metaphysical levers.

  • Unity from infinity. The infinite star-fields are not trivia—they are pedagogical; contemplating them plants unity in mind/heart.

  • Being as outreach. Ra’s radiation-first service implies that presence is often more powerful than motion—a guide for everyday service.

🧠 Study Prompts

  • Where in your week can you trade an act of motion for an act of radiance?

  • Which current stimulus (Wheel) are you misinterpreting, and how might a new Experience (Enchantress) yield better “gold”?

  • What one guardrail will you add to protect vital energy while keeping will-to-serve bright?
