🖋️ Editor’s Note
Now that we’ve covered the philosophical foundations and explored what makes the Archetypal Mind so vital for seekers, we turn to the way Ra and the sub-Logos have structured it: three great cycles—mind, body, spirit—each made up of seven archetypes, unified by the 22nd archetype: the Choice. This is not just theory or esoteric numerology—it is the “map” of all our meaningful experience, built right into the fabric of how we learn, grow, and ultimately graduate from third density.
This edition will clarify the threefold system Ra offers, discuss why distinctions between body, mind, and spirit matter, and set the groundwork for understanding each archetype as a dynamic process rather than a static state.
🔺 The Three Cycles: Mind, Body, Spirit
Seven archetypes for the Mind: The journey of beliefs, stories, meaning-making, and the unfolding drama of conscious and unconscious relationships within the self.
Seven for the Body: The path of action, choice, consequences, and causal patterns—where intention, will, and physical consequence mirror the hidden patterns of mind.
Seven for the Spirit: Mystical contact with the One, the cycles of awakening to the divine, and the process by which the finite opens to the infinite.
The 22nd archetype, the Choice, stands outside and above these cycles—serving as the integrator and ultimate evolutionary question. It is both the beginning and culmination: the call to choose a path of service (“right-hand” or “left-hand”), and to unify all lessons under the banner of self-discovery, love, and will.
🌀 What Do These Cycles Represent?
Ra’s use of “mind,” “body,” and “spirit” often differs from modern academic ideas. For Ra:
The mind is the creative engine of beliefs, emotions, stories, and attachments. It governs how you perceive meaning, construct narratives about yourself, and sets the stage for what you seek and avoid. The mind’s journey is about unveiling the hidden, reconciling inner conflicts, and coming to unconditional love for self and other.
The body is the vehicle, the place of action and reaction. Its path is governed by cause and effect, by the mind’s intentions as they move into motion, and by the results of conflict or harmony as expressed through action. The body is how the mind learns from experience.
The spirit is the bridge to the infinite—the “portal” through which the individual seeks, receives, and ultimately realizes union with the One Creator. The spirit’s path is about opening, surrender, and becoming a vessel for the divine presence—allowing personal will to fall away before the gravity of the All.
Despite Ra’s precise language, don’t get too hung up on definitions. Each of these cycles is not just a set of mental concepts; each describes a domain of lived, direct experience—nested, overlapping, and always inviting you in deeper.
🔄 How Do the Cycles Interact?
Progression is not linear: The archetypes form cycles, not ladders. You may revisit, spiral, or jump between lessons throughout your life.
The cycles are nested and hierarchical: The mind’s patterns structure the lessons of the body, and the spirit’s calling refines and transcends both mind and body.
Growth is dynamic and holistic: True evolution involves weaving together body, mind, and spirit—allowing each to balance, challenge, and illuminate the others.
Ra emphasizes the order of initiation: Mind comes first, then body, then spirit. The veiling between the conscious and unconscious mind sets the stage; unhealed inner conflict will always be expressed through the body, and the fruits (or sorrows) of bodily action create the readiness for spiritual opening.
🧪 What Does “Experience” Really Mean?
“Experience” in Ra’s usage is broader than the mind. The unified, ever-evolving self explores all three realms, and your conscious identity moves among them. Each archetype describes a type of experience—bodily, mental, or spiritual—that is built into the structure of third density. As you evolve, you become more skilled at navigating, integrating, and consciously living each of the cycles.
🚦 Practical Takeaway
Growth starts with mental clarity and self-love, moves into authentic action and service, and eventually into surrender, inspiration, and union with the infinite.
Each cycle contains repeating themes, processes, and trials—your work is first to recognize where you are, then to “initiate” the deeper possibilities each offers.
All lessons ultimately return to the Choice—the invitation to serve, to unify the cycles, and to consciously become the highest version of self.
In sum:
The structure of the Archetypal Mind is an experiential map—not only showing the terrain, but offering you, at every stage, the opportunity to move, integrate, and transform along the spiral path back to the Source. Ready to step deeper? The journey through the cycles has only begun.
