🖋️ Editor’s Note

Welcome to Issue 3 of Daily Law of One. If unity is the ground and the Choice is the purpose, then the veil of forgetting is the method. Why don’t we remember our previous lives, our soul’s plan, or our oneness with the Creator? Because forgetting is the only way to make love a real, deliberate choice.

📖 Today’s story

Imagine entering a classroom with the answers already written on the board. There would be no learning, only recitation. Earth incarnation is the opposite. We arrive here with amnesia. Our past lives are hidden. Our connection to the Creator is veiled. Even our own deeper self remains out of reach.

This veil is not punishment but design. Ra explains that without it, the path of the soul would be automatic. We would see unity clearly and thus could not freely choose it. The veil makes forgetting the starting point, so that remembering becomes a victory of the heart.

Separation hurts. It creates loneliness, conflict, even despair. Yet those very experiences generate catalyst—the raw material for growth. When we confront the illusion of being cut off, we are given the chance to say yes to love in the dark.

The veil also makes polarity possible. Without it, there could be no distinct choice between serving self or serving others. With it, every small act—kindness or cruelty, forgiveness or resentment—becomes a declaration of orientation.

From the standpoint of eternity, the veil is temporary. At death it falls away, and the soul recalls its wholeness. But within the density of choice, it is our teacher. Forgetting is the condition that allows the heart to awaken.

🧘 Practice

Micro: Next time you feel frustrated or lost, pause and say: “This forgetting is the veil. My task is to remember love.”

Longer: Sit quietly and imagine a curtain between you and a bright light. Visualize a small tear opening in the fabric. Let the light pour through.

✍️ Reflection prompt

Write: “One way the veil challenges me is…”

🌌 Wanderer’s Corner

For wanderers, the veil can feel especially heavy. You may carry a half-memory of other homes, other densities. The longing can be sharp. Yet the very forgetting is why you came: to choose love without guarantees. Your struggle has meaning, not only for you but for the planet you serve.

💡 Practical Wisdom — Living with the Veil

  • Don’t curse the veil. It’s what makes love a choice, not an inevitability.

  • Honor confusion. Not knowing opens the door for faith.

  • Seek light leaks. Dreams, synchronicities, meditation—all are cracks in the curtain.

  • Use pain as catalyst. Hurt is the veil’s way of pointing to love’s absence.

  • Trust the process. The forgetting is temporary; remembrance awaits beyond.

🔎 Insight — The Gift of Forgetting

Ra taught that in early experiments without a veil, entities saw clearly the unity of all things—but this clarity stalled growth. There was no pressure to choose, no urgency to polarize. The veil was introduced as a cosmic innovation: to create a density where choice matters.

The result is the drama of Earth life: a stage where the soul forgets itself and must rediscover love through confusion, conflict, and longing. The veil amplifies catalyst, intensifies emotion, and accelerates growth. It is a burden, but also a gift—the engine of polarization.

📝 Summary — The Veil

  • Definition: The intentional forgetting of the soul’s larger reality during incarnation.

  • Purpose: To create the conditions for genuine choice and polarization.

  • Practice: Treat forgetting itself as catalyst; each act of remembrance is sacred.

  • Fruit: Growth through challenge, deepened faith, and meaningful polarity.

❓ Did you know?

Ra described the veil as a relatively recent invention in cosmic history. In earlier creations, there was no forgetting between lives—but souls progressed very slowly. The veil was added as a “great experiment” to quicken growth, and Earth is one of its laboratories.

🌿 When the veil feels heavy, remember: forgetting is not failure. It is the Creator’s way of making your love matter.
