Since Free Will is our greatest gift, how we use our "will" determines the course of our lives. But there is a massive difference between willpower and willingness.
When we are spiritually immature, our will often manifests as "willfulness." We use our willpower to force outcomes, to control other people, and to stubbornly insist that the world bend to our ego's demands. This creates intense friction and suffering.
As we spiritually evolve, this forceful willpower softens into "willingness." Willingness is the surrender of the ego to the higher divine flow. It is the realization that the highest use of Free Will is to freely align it with the Creator. It is moving from "I demand this happens" to "Not my will, but Thine be done."
☕ Today’s Micro-Practice: Notice a situation today where you are stubbornly trying to force an outcome. Relax your shoulders, open your hands, and consciously switch your attitude from forcing to allowing.
